Climate change and buildings

The Swiss greenhouse gas statistics prove it: almost a quarter of all CO₂ emissions are still caused by the heating of buildings. Although this share has been declining for some years thanks to the political measures taken, there is still a long way to go. It's fair to say that most new builds are climate friendly; the current rules state that new buildings need to be constructed efficiently and the CO₂-free heat pump is now the method of choice when it comes to heating. The big challenge is the building stock.
