The Swiss greenhouse gas statistics prove it: almost a quarter of all CO2 emissions are still caused by the heating of buildings. Although this share has been declining for some years thanks to the political measures taken, there is still a long way to go. It's fair to say that most new builds are climate friendly; the current rules state that new buildings need to be constructed efficiently and the CO2-free heat pump is now the method of choice when it comes to heating. The big challenge is the building stock.
